Canadian Linen Truck

IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT

ANDY DICKIE, CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, D01 VANCOUVER

How long have you been a CSR with Canadian Linen?

I started with Canadian Linen in March of 1985 at the Toronto branch and then moved to our Victoria branch. I’ve been here at the Vancouver location since 1991.

What areas/cities do you cover?

I have customers in Langley, Aldergrove and Abbotsford, British Columbia.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

I’d have to say it’s being out in the community. I’m not a “desk in an office” type so being a Customer Service Representative is a great fit for me.

What’s your biggest accomplishment with Canadian Linen?

My longevity – I’ve been with the company for 33 years. And I’ve gotten to build strong relationships through my training and working with good people over all those years.

Do you have a system for organizing your truck?

Yes! I have an order I follow for loading – mats, flats then garments.

Since we’re in the business of laundering, do you iron your own clothes?

Yes. Unfortunately, I can’t get away from that task.

When you’re not in the truck, what are your favourite hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with my family, and I love music, sports (especially hockey) and reading.
