CORPORATE ACCOUNTS TEAM ASSEMBLES KITS FOR HOMELESS

Our Corporate Accounts team spent a Day of Service volunteering with The Society to End Homelessness in Burnaby, B.C. The team assembled ‘Comfort Kits’ that contained various sundries like toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, razors, Band-Aids and tissues. The kits were then distributed throughout Burnaby, Vancouver and the Fraser Valley during Homelessness Action Week.


BEMIDJI EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATE IN DRAGON BOAT RACE

Bemidji, Minn., employees and their families represented the company with pride at the annual dragon boat race. The event raises money for many Bemidji-area charitable organizations.


CALGARY BRANCH SPONSORSHEAVY HORSE PULL’

The Calgary branch sponsored the 2016 Calgary Stampede Heavy Horse Pull, an event that raises money for local charities that serve the needs of children in the area.


ST. CLOUD BRANCH DONATES WINTER GEAR

The St. Cloud, Minn., branch had a winter coat drive and cleaned out the overstock and discontinued items like blankets, winter coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves and boots to donate to the local ministry, A Place of Hope.


MEMPHIS BRANCH VOLUNTEERS AT HEAD START

The Memphis, Tenn., branch provided nutritional snacks and pull-ups for children at the local Head Start Schools. The branch also runs a jacket drive in the winter.


BAKERSFIELD BRANCH DONATES FOOD AND TIME

The Bakersfield branch ran a canned food drive in September that raised 1,100 pounds of food for Golden Empire Gleaners, which serves approximately 18,500 Kern County residents every month. The branch also volunteered at the Kiwanis Club’s third annual car show which raised money to take children shopping for clothes during the holiday season.


HARTFORD LOCATION HYDRATES YOUTH FOOTBALL PLAYERS

The Hartford service center held a community day with a youth football league in the greater Hartford area. They donated Gatorade to the organization and passed out microfiber towels to the crowd.


OKLAHOMA TEAMS DELIVER MEALS ON WHEELS

Our Sales and Service Teams from the Oklahoma area delivered Meals on Wheels in Edmond.


SPRINGFIELD BRANCH JOINS FUNDRAISER AND BUILDS GARDEN

The Springfield branch joined in a local fundraiser organized by and benefiting the Developmental Center of the Ozarks (DCO) in Springfield. DCO serves infants, children and adults with developmental or physical disabilities through therapy, education, and rehabilitative programs. The Springfield team also traveled to Brighton to install a memorial garden for the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, which provides a safe and caring home to boys who have come from broken or non-existent homes.


LONDON BRANCH HELPS FEED THE HUNGRY

A team from our London, Ontario, branch spent time at the local food bank preparing hampers for the people in need. The branch was also able to donate the food they gathered from a food drive they organized prior to the Day of Service.


WEST TEXAS AND ROSWELL BRANCHES DONATE FOOD

The Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa and Roswell branches came together to pick up donated canned goods and deliver them to their local food banks. Each CSR delivered a clean linen bag to our customers and asked for food donations to be put into the bags during the month of September. Along with these efforts, the Production, Office and Engineering teams also donated food for the cause. The team effort across all branches resulted in nearly 6,000 pounds of food being delivered to the food banks.


VANCOUVER BRANCH DONATES TO FOOD BANKS

The Vancouver branch collected 150 pounds of food and monetary donations for the Kamloops Food Bank. They also collected more than 500 pounds of food for a food bank in the suburb of Abbotsford through a BBQ they hosted at the branch. The branch also spent a Saturday volunteering at the Abbotsford food bank, sorting food and helping out during the food bank’s busiest time of year.


MANKATO BRANCH PITCHES IN FOR HOMELESS

Members of the Mankato, Minn. branch volunteered at Partners for Affordable Housing (PAH), which provides shelter for homeless families and helps them to secure long-term housing. The task for the day was to help clean, organize and re-stock the shelves at the Free Store that PAH operates for the families they assist.


DURANT BRANCH VISITS LONG-TERM CARE HOME

The Durant, Miss. branch spent a Day of Service at the Holmes County Long Term Care Center, where they played bingo with the residents. More than 30 residents were in attendance.


EDMONTON BRANCH SUPPORTS LOCAL FOOD BANK

The Edmonton branch volunteered at the Edmonton Food Bank and organized a food drive prior to the event.


SYRACUSE BRANCH PACKS GOODS FOR FOOD PANTRY

Syracuse team members spent time packing boxes containing food for multiple meals at their local food pantry. The boxes contained bread, milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, yogurts and other items that the food pantry delivers to needy families in the community.


FINANCE GROUP PACKAGES FOOD

The Finance Team from the corporate HQ volunteered at The Food Group, which distributes meat to local food shelves and partner groups throughout the community.


PHOENIX BRANCH PREPS CARE PACKAGES

The Phoenix branch teamed up with Packages from Home to support American troops that have been deployed. The team donated their time to pack boxes that contained everything from soup to nuts and also wrote cards, sorted products and labeled boxes to be shipped. Phoenix also raised $1,000 in cash and products to donate.


OMAHA BRANCH BREAKS RECORD AT FOOD BANK

Volunteers from the Omaha branch boxed over 4,000 pounds of meat and more than 7,000 pounds of mixed vegetables at the Food Bank for the Heartland. Food is warehoused in the distribution center and then sorted, packed and re-distributed across Nebraska and western Iowa. The team broke the distribution center’s record for ‘pounds per operator per hour’ for both the meat and vegetables!


LITTLE ROCK BRANCH BOXES FOOD

Team members from Little Rock volunteered at the Arkansas Foodbank boxing, labeling and palletizing 4,608 cans of potatoes (or 9,216 meals) and almost broke the record for the amount boxed in a single shift.


ALBUQUERQUE BRANCH COOKS FOR CANCER

The Albuquerque branch spent a day of service at Casa Esperanza, a ‘home away from home’ supporting families facing cancer. “The thanks and gratitude we received from all the people we interacted with was overwhelming,” said GM Jeff Gaedke.


TWIN FALLS BRANCH SUPPORTS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Our Twin Falls branch pitched in to help with their local ‘National Night Out,’ an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Team members cooked and served hot dogs and provided a bouncy house for the kids.


HALIFAX BRANCH DONATES SUPPLIES AND COATS

The Halifax branch’s Dartmouth team donated breakfast supplies to two local elementary schools and collected coats for Sleep Country Canada.


CALGARY SALES TEAM WORKS AT FOOD BANK

Members of the Calgary-area Sales Team had lots of fun interacting with other groups as they pitched in at the local food bank.
